Same field, same variety, 100 feet apart, one on left was a check strip with no treatment and one on right was LanceAG.

It was a good day to apply fungicide to our research plots in east central IL. Corn looks great and can’t believe how tall it is. GLS really starting to show up

Went to leave for flea beetle scouting last night and they made it easy by coming right to my truck. If thats not motivation to get out and scout, I’m not sure what is!! Get out there and get scouting! They are looking for a host that’s not a Ram 1500.

What looked to be poor emergence from the road turned out to be significant black cutworm feeding in low lying area of field by Milroy, MN. Scout these areas on your farm for potential cutworm feeding on susceptible hybrids. 50% stand loss here.

I made a new friend from the deer stand. Whitetail buck reported that 87-day corn planted on June 4 finished okay.

Our field cage at Grant, NE to collect live moths really jumped in numbers Friday. I would expect to see a lot of egg laying over the weekend in late whorl to tassel corn in this area.

This is a first for me- about half of plants in this field have 2 opposite “first” trifoliates vs the regular single first trifoliate. Jun30 planted, with perfect emergence & no hail/frost/crusting to induce response. Looks like it wants to branch to make up for late yr

PSA to those who went back to conventional corn to save money. Don’t make the mistake of relying on neighbors bt corn to protect you from corn borer. Make sure you are scouting.

Time to keep a priority for harvest scheduling! Seeing a difference field by field and amongst products! Good visual how stalk/ crown rots can impact ear/kernel size depending on timing in the same field!
