Can you fit a 57 into AA’s old LGA hangars? Yes. Is it manufacturer approved? No. Did a FAA ASI try to fine AA? (see: jury-rigged) Yup! Was the proposed fine overturned? Yup! Is it safe in my opinion? Well, it’s not necessarily going to ‘hurt’ the acft, just adds unneeded stress.

I understand that if you own a vintage #taildragger in #flynewmexico it’s a rule you have to make some landings on a dirt strip occasionally or the plane gets spoiled 😀 #AvGeek
