Another day, another comans.ie truck (branded @titosvodka) blocking the cycle lane at @thebrazenhead_ at the bottom of a steep hill with very little room for manoeuvre.

RobOMhantáin TitosVodka The Brazen Head ☘️ Dublin Ireland Because that’s a parking lane on a street designed for cars, not an after thought bike lane. Businesses need supplies and they’re on the street. Bike lanes are stealing space from cars.

RobOMhantáin TitosVodka The Brazen Head ☘️ Dublin Ireland Thanks for pointing that out. Vehicle dimensions are based on horse and buggy. So by logic street naturally belongs to the car after horses retired. Definitely not bikes.

Mo TitosVodka The Brazen Head ☘️ Dublin Ireland That pub was a coaching in more than three hundred years ago, so it's far to say that the street has been there long before we had cars. Traffic lanes are stealing space from horses.
Businesses need to do their business legally and safely. Sticking a cone doesn't' make it safe.

RobOMhantáin TitosVodka The Brazen Head ☘️ Dublin Ireland So the streets in the busy parts were wide enough for cars and double decker busses, and cyclists ran rampant all over the place. Glad that doesn’t happen any longer and bikes are more regulated (hopefully, God willing, amen).
