It took James Lowen and I two days to find some photogenic Cyprus Wheatear but more patience was rewarded on our way up to Troodos.

Today was the perfect day, and weather, to take the day off and go up to the Troodos in search of a medieval bridge, which was literally hidden, waiting to be discovered. Amazing colors of nature are well worth a trip to the mountains in #Cyprus at this time of the year... ☔️🍁🍂

The wall and ceilings are completely covered intricately detailed mosaics, inside 11th Century AD, Orthodox Church of Panagia Phorbiotissa in Cyprus :

Amazing day in Troodos 🏔️

3 days spent in the Troodos mountains. Plenty of Jays, Coal Tits and a few Short-Tied Treecreepers and a fox. Outside the high mountains Long-Legged Buzzard, Black Francolin, 8 Crag Martins, Eastern Olivacious Warbler and a Goshawk powering across the dam at Oikos. #cyprusbirds
