My teenage sons wear masks in school.
They are both excellent public speakers and took part in a poetry competition on Friday, in front of 200 people.

I am not quite white
There must once had been a son
who was the very picture of whiteness
on a pale earth forged dull
by the glint of interior suns.
I assume living as I assume breathing
and cherish the blankness.
