Old postcard view of the Thatched cottages on Chapel Street (the A4) in . Official listing says 17th Century. They are clearly built in at several phases. They have been altered (5 dwellings to 4 in 1970s), original roof timbers largely destroyed by fire.

Last year I took part in with 'Thatcham: Whats in a name?' - see youtube.com/watch?v=1U9jYQ…. Looking at doing it again this year, short 10 min piece. Looking at possibly Roman Thatcham, Saxon Thatcham
or Dunston House (our last manor house). Thoughts? Suggestions?
