In an interview on BBC Radio Ulster this morning the Commissioner made the point that investment is desperately needed in our criminal justice system to tackle delays, but it must be done a system-wide way. Fixing the problems in one agency will only push problems down the line.

The Director of Public Prosecutions was pleased to meet with the Justice Minister today to discuss ongoing modernisation projects and to highlight the funding pressures on the PPS, and how this links to speeding up justice initiatives.
