The Day Care Service enjoyed their first barge trip of 2024 earlier this week, we were very lucky with the weather and managed to see a variety of wildlife including swans as we headed towards Fountainbridge.

We are looking forward to many more trips with the All Aboard Team.

We enjoyed a great spring singalong concert performed by the Merry Belles, along with a delicious soup & sandwich lunch this afternoon.

As tomorrow is a bank holiday, our building will be closed, but we will be open from Tuesday as usual🌷

Today’s Easter Wreath Making Workshop was an absolute blast! 🐣🌼 From colorful blooms to whimsical touches, each creation was as unique as the hands that crafted them. 🌷

Who said low fat, low sugar food is tasteless? Our Day Care clients have been making light and fluffy low fat, low sugar drop scones with whole fruit jam and cream. Everyone had a lot of fun making them and they tasted delicious with a cuppa afterwards.

Our carers & care partners embarked on the sweet adventure of our first 2024 Eric’s Escapes trip to Peebles! Crafting truffles at Cocoa Black & unwinding at Tontine Hotel Peebles, they cherished every moment. More pics next week! Shared Care Scotland

Excited to announce: We're 1 of 25 charities chosen by HSF Charity for a £4,000 donation! With their support, we'll buy 2 EVAC chairs to ensure our Day Care clients' safety during emergencies. Huge thanks to The Hospital Saturday Fund!

It has been all go as clients from our Day Care Service decided to bake some sourdough after making Polish bread last week. Some are baking and some are taste-testing different breads from around the world. This could take some time! #dementia #DayCare #support

Last year, our Plant Sale raised £1200 and sold out early. We think we could sell many more plants this year if we have the stock, and this is where we are hoping you or your green fingered friends could help us!

Participants from The Eric Liddell Community enjoyed dancing along to classic hits at ‘Are Ye Dancing?’, our first dementia-friendly, community Tea Dance. This event was funded by the The Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership ‘Coorie in for Winter’ fund.

We are still desperately seeking volunteers to support Eric’s Escapes for 2 x day trips and 4 x overnight stays.

Celebrating Shrove Tuesday in our Day Care Service today. For breakfast we had delicious pancakes with syrup, lemon, strawberries, we discussed the 40 days leading up to Easter and how it was traditionally a day of fasting.

We celebrated the spirit of Burns in our Day Service today. Staff, students, and clients wore their tartan, we addressed the haggis before lunch and had cranachan for pudding. In the afternoon we had a quiz and poetry followed by Scottish pipe music.
