The Bridge Hotel is a dark wood, mirrored, stained glassed beauty, and Mosaic Tap was a perfect cool crafty foil with delicious beer.

Calling all #Hackney pub lovers. You’ve about 2 weeks to OBJECT to the Albion being turned into a “much-needed” luxury home, have sold for twice its lawful planning use value 😏

Many local pub operators keen on the site 👍🏻 Council must refuse the loss of this early Victorian pub

This is what it's all about.
This pub is no longer sacrificing its viability for the sake of a profiteering property owner.
Instead it's employing people, helping local breweries/suppliers stay in business, and serving it's community.
As it should.

Pubcos and the scam have created a dominance of disappointing pubs, leading to folks believing all pubs are crap, stocked with awful overpriced global beer. This is largely due to the denial of routes to market for tasty independent beer. Unfair rates and tax don’t help either ☹️

Much of the media was totally duped yesterday by this 'news'.
Any story about a pubco 'reopening' their own long-closed pubs should be taken with a massive pinch of salt, as should all claims of 'huge investment'.
Their publican tenants know the real story.

Well done guys. You must get the boroughs aligned on HC7. Too many councils are believing the developer fibs- “oh the pub isn’t viable, can we please turn it into a much needed luxury home?” instead of insisting on robust and fair marketing. Pub operators are losing quality sites
