Thanks for recognizing the passion DAAD India Dr Philipp Ackermann
Huhuu, my first Biodiversity Exploratories Research project starts on holistic grassland restoration above and belowground! I am proud and excited.
Stay tuned, fieldwork starts today :D

It took very long and a lot of effort but finally is out! 'Covariation among reproductive traits in flowering plants shapes their interactions with pollinators' doi.org/10.1111/1365-2… With Romina Rader Jamie Stavert @pollimetry Dr @manusaunders.bsky.social and iBartomeus, what a team!
#Orchidaceae is a hyperdiverse family of spectacular beauty. Today, we published maps of phylogenetic & taxonomic measures of distinctiveness & rarity & identified locations & species in urgent need of #conservation . Paper led by Pati Vitt Scientific Reports: rdcu.be/daIbH

Thanks to Anna Kuzemko for giving today's iDiv Biodiversity Research talk, and for travelling from Kyiv to co-lead a group with Oksana Buzhdygan 🇺🇦 analyzing/synthesizing scale-explicit data from Ukraine grasslands. Cool to hear that the new record for species # from 1 cm2 comes from Ukraine (11 species).
Functional traits and especially vegetative height are stronger linked to the phenology of herbaceous species compared to trees🌱🌿🌳🌼.
