I had very fruitful discussions today with e-Safety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant on:

•Child safety by design
•The need for detection of child sexual abuse material
•Obligations for companies, voluntary action is clearly not enough.

It was a pleasure to welcome @European Union Commissioner Ylva Johansson to Australia to continue our continued commitment against online child sexual exploitation and terrorist content. Our collaboration began at the #EUInternetForum in 2021 & both champion #safetybydesign !

The event took place during the 2024 ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne 🌏 The Special Summit brings together leaders from #ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste to look ahead to the next 50 years of ASEAN-Australia cooperation.
