Australia and Fiji are working together to strengthen our resilience against cyber threats.

By signing a Memorandum of Understanding with PM Rabuka on cyber security cooperation we strengthen our partnership to address the shared cyber security challenges that face our region.

Australia is partnering with Fiji to deliver quality, sustainable and transformative infrastructure.

Today I signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Port Infrastructure and Services with Prime Minister Rabuka, after visiting Lautoka Port.

Australia’s relationship with Fiji is deep and enduring, underpinned by the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership.

On my first bilateral visit to Fiji, I discussed with Prime Minister Rabuka how we can continue to work together to address our region’s priorities and challenges.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the Pacific Community sub-regional office in Nuku’alofa. It was fantastic to catch up with Paula Vivili, Elsie Fukofuka and the team in Tonga recently to celebrate this milestone.

Today, we reflect on service and sacrifice. Anzac Day is a time to reflect on the spirit of Anzac and of Vuvale, we honour all who served and upheld that very spirit. Vinaka to all those service personnel present at the dawn service, reaffirming that the spirit of Anzac lives on.

Delighted to join the Fijian Parliament Retreat at the Intercontinental and learn more about improving effectiveness in parliamentary processes. Australia is proud of our partnership with Fiji’s Parliament and looks forward to deepening our cooperation.
