With the support of the UCO, the Gender Assessment of the HIV Epidemic and response in Eswatini report was validated with the leadership of the The Deputy Prime Minister's Office Eswatini under the department of Gender and family issues with participation of government and civil society organizations.

The Prime Minister has launched the Eswatini Nursing Leadership Initiative programme. This programme seeks to sustain gains and accelerate progress towards ending AIDS as a public health threat in 2030. Betru Woldesemayat attended and made remarks at the launch.

UNAIDS was hounered to be part of the inaugural fatherhood convention in Eswatini hosted by Kwakha Indvodza. The convention was about unmasking the journey in Responsible Present Fatherhood and Strengthening Child-Father relationships.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day highlights that investing in women is a human rights issue: Time is running out. Gender equality is the greatest human rights challenge, benefiting everyone.
