I find it interesting looking at rice management practices in different environments.

Riverina rice CY24 weather has been all over the place so far:
-cold start after sowing in Oct (mostly due to cold mins)
-above average Nov-Dec leading to PI
-cold Jan (mostly due to low maxs)
-warm Feb

Aus #rice growers, there was recently an error in some of the satellite image data. So predictions didn't update for several days. Apologies, fixed now.

In a recent field trip to Leeton, PhD student Sunil Jha visited our rice project collaborators from NSW DPI. Sunil had the chance to learn rice panicle initiation and nitrogen sampling techniques, contributing valuable insights for optimising fertilizer input and irrigation.

-all fields got a good satellite image on 31/12, clear sky!
-all growth curves updated
-PI N uptake maps avail for fields close to PI (1/2 of all fields are already predicted >= PI)
