Always nice to work on an ML problem where (i) linear algorithms do as well as nonlinear, (ii) the optimal regularization (shrinkage) parameter of Ridge or Lasso tends to 0, (iii) so bog standard multiple linear regression will do the trick!

As a long time #earthengine user, transitioning to STAC/COG/Xarray is pretty challenging. So many different libraries doing similar things, and varying standards of documentation. EE makes so many standard operations simple. The open EO community is amazingly helpful though

-cold start after sowing in Oct (mostly due to cold mins)
-above average Nov-Dec leading to PI
-cold Jan (mostly due to low maxs)
