Our latest collaboration with The Fidock Lab is out. PhD student John Bennett found mixed aryl/alkyl phosphonates that target essential serine hydrolases in Plasmodium falciparum. They kill parasites with low overall induced resistance. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Our first paper on our efforts mapping serine hydrolases in gut commensal bacteria is out. We identified a homolog of the human DPP4 protease in B. theta that is important for community fitness. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Can we agree that unpaid task forces and student led committees are consistently unsuccessful in changing academic landscapes? And that maybe we need full time, well paid, well staffed DEI Teams at our universities instead?
