The #IUCN submitted its statement to ITLOS in the advisory proceedings on states obligations under UNCLOS on climate change.
It was drafted by the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law IUCN-WCEL (World Commission on Environmental Law), Ocean Law Specialist Group.

No surprises here! Voluntary standards never had the same robustness as REDD+ developed under the UNFCCC and included in the Paris Agreement.
