We were saddened to hear of the recent death of Annie Nightingale, the first female presenter on BBC Radio 1 and the station's longest-serving DJ. In 2018, Prof David Hendy interviewed Annie about her life and trailblazing career, which can be accessed via connectedhistoriesofthebbc.org/play/?id=415

It's actually quite amazing if I may say so myself.

It's two things, really.

First, it's a massive website, where you can watch/hear/read interviews with over 400 key people who've worked for the BBC since its birth in 1922
