A busy morning down at St Marks park for our volunteers clearing rubbish from the river, wood from the Gormley statue and recovering the width of the path

The hollow man Jason Thorne Cycling Edinburgh Almost every day yes.

It’s pedestrianised during certain hours but it’s constantly driven down. Blue badge parking is allowed but many other cars are constantly (and rightly) ticketed.

Jason Thorne Cycling Edinburgh It’s a cracker.

Could still be improved by reducing the illegally parked cars and the tarmac strips on the cobbles - but it’s a joy.

Listening is good, but when it's a choice between listening to whiners and paying attention to the overwhelming evidence that 20mph saves lives, maybe do the evidence-based thing instead?

E Cyclist Dougal Stanton 2/2. Additionally, there were missing stopline markings for cyclists. These issues led some cyclists to misinterpret the signals, potentially causing conflicts with motor vehicles turning left onto Great Junction Street. Thanks. Joanne.

E Cyclist Dougal Stanton 1/2. Hi there, The team have responded and advise that the cones have been placed in the cycle lane for several reasons. Firstly, the cycle lane was being used incorrectly due to delays in the Leith connections works, which were supposed to integrate with the tram works.

They're routinely drubbed, whilst quietly becoming one of the busiest cycleways in the country:

Up and over morning commute to Pitlochry. 6 bikes on train but 4 off to change for Edinburgh in Perth. On folder to be flexible. I'm changing in Stirlin - will free up space for them on next train. ScotRail now has coffee trolley on this IC7 ! Cycling Edinburgh

Jason Thorne Living Streets Edinburgh Cllr Jack Caldwell πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Paul Lawrence RNIB Scotland Irene Beautyman Jenny Munro Neil Collar Cycling Edinburgh The trail system - walking, cycling; my favourite spots are the junction of the Warriston and Goldenacre paths, and the St Marks Path/Park view to the Castle. See how many Anthony Gormley pieces you can find, in the Water of Leith.

Jason Thorne Living Streets Edinburgh Cllr Jack Caldwell πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Paul Lawrence RNIB Scotland Irene Beautyman Jenny Munro Neil Collar Cycling Edinburgh What should you see? Not as much change as we hoped! Car ownership is low yet cars dominate too many streets. Tram failed to improve cycling & created dangers - see Haymarket. City's main (only?) rail/bus/tram Interchange. Spokes CycleCampaign have done loads - see newsletters. Ed Festival Cycling

Protesting the potential (temporary) closure of section of the Roseburn Path for tram works by… closing the path (fake sign).

Intellectually inconsistent; folks who have encountered this will have had to route around. Poor show. Action disowned by Save The Roseburn Path group.

Suspect someone from north america will wonder what everyone's whinging about tbh.
