Thanks Late Turn for sharing this image with me. You’re absolutely right, it demonstrates not only a powerful Aurora but also badly designed lighting that pollutes the skies and waters below the Forth.

We need better lighting design across the U.K. to stop exactly this.

It’s a real tragedy that the night sky and it’s natural phenomena are being lost to so many, and needlessly so, too!

Access to Night skies is quickly becoming a real issue and yet another thing taken from those unable to travel to dark places.

Tonight’s the finale for the night! True darkness then gets edged into the wings of the endless twilight until mid August, where the sky never really gets truly dark due to how far north we are 🌌
