Excited to see these signs popping up across the city ! π
Joint working with Ed Thornley πΆ and Cllr Hal Osler last year (and some budget wins in February) mean we will see a different grass cutting regime across the city this Summer β all to benefit our pollinators! π¦π πΎ
Motions for Full Council next week are out and I am asking the Council to pledge never to use anti-trades union legislation to force workers not to strike, under threat of being sacked. This infringes staff's human rights and must not be used in our city Edinburgh Greensβ¦

Life looks peachy in a country that invests in public space, welfare + happiness. Where people recognise that tax provides security + solidarity.
Scotland could be like that w/ #independence ! π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
Transport and Environment Committee got a little overshadowed by national events last week but Edinburgh Greens councillors managed to get some good wins on:

'Today someone is being forcibly removed from their home.
This tears communities apart. This is the aim of the Home Office...
We are all here to make that stand today to show that communities stand with their neighbours.' -Cllr Anthony Carroll

Happy #mayday and solidarity to all workers.
The UK needs a rebalancing to put far more decision-making power and company ownership in the hands of workers.
Only then will we see a real #justtransition .

Congratulations Cllr Simita Kumar - looking forward to having another woman at the table in Leaders' meetings πͺ
From the moment it was announced I had little doubt that the Safe Access Zones bill would eventually pass. That it passed its first reading with only a single βnoβ vote, though, is testament to what an excellent politician Gillian Mackay MSP is.
I am so proud to support Gillian Mackay MSP's Safe Access Zones Bill which has reached the Stage 1 milestone!
Everyone should have a right to privacy and to unobstructed access to healthcare. I hope to see MSPs from all parties unite to protect and enhance reproductive rights.
Here's how Scottish Greens would improve lives in #Musselburgh + beyond. π¦’π π»
