Are there really politicians who simply judge university courses on how much graduates earn?

Nurses and social work graduates won’t repay their student loan. Are some MPs really saying they aren’t valuable?

Education is so much more than an economic return.

In 2021, the government cut funding by 50% to subjects identified as non-priority / high-cost:

- Performing Arts
- Creative Arts
- Media Studies.

Three years on, the impact of these cuts continues to bite, not least when it comes to course quality, range and availability.

Creative Industries make up 6% of our economy: more than car and oil industries together. They employ 2.3million people. To cut funding is fudge-brained, cack-hearted thinking pitched very much at the highest level of economic self-harm. theguardian.com/education/2024…

The have practically destroyed the arts/culture in this country.
If the UK is known for anything-it's as a world leader in this.
Soon after forms the next government, it should do an audit-an - so that people can see the wreckage.

I’m coming to the view the government are now deliberately trying to dismantle anything that’s good about the country.

Another act of utter self harm.
