Usutu virus caused significant increase in avian mortality. Understanding the factors driving these outbreaks and the impact on bird populations is crucial. Urbanisation alters the environmental conditions, which may increase susceptibility of urban birds.

Home after a great couple of days at BOU 👩🏻‍🏫👨🏿‍🏫🧕🏽👳🏽‍♂️ 🌈 #BOU2024 on #UrbanBirds . Lots of interesting conversations and my first experience of both being a keynote speaker and chairing a conference session which seemed to go ok. Now though to rest!
