6/6 #BOU2024 #Sesh1 Therefore, this is NOT the end of the story. Despite the lack of a positive relationship between Hb and the pollutants PM2.5 and NO2, we also have data that needs to be extracted from another air pollutant, PM10! So…stay tuned for any updates on this study!

4/6 #BOU2024 #Sesh1 Preliminary regression analyses show differences in Hb levels between parents and chicks. Hb levels are higher in rural areas compared to urban areas, but this difference seems to be lost in adults. Selective disappearance?

5/6 #BOU2024 #Sesh1 Visually, higher Hb levels seem to be connected to lower NO2 levels, but too little data is currently available to confirm this spotted pattern in the exploratory graphs. We still need to delve into a larger dataset, for which this data is only part of.

Home after a great couple of days at BOU 👩🏻‍🏫👨🏿‍🏫🧕🏽👳🏽‍♂️ 🌈 #BOU2024 on #UrbanBirds . Lots of interesting conversations and my first experience of both being a keynote speaker and chairing a conference session which seemed to go ok. Now though to rest!
