1000 relocations from Cyprus of asylum seekers under the Voluntary Solidarity Mechanism.

Over 1 000 asylum seekers, incl. vulnerable persons & families, have been transferred from 🇨🇾 Cyprus to other 🇪🇺 countries.

In partnership with the EUAA, Υπουργείο Εσωτερικών, EU Home Affairs, and IOM Cyprus, this coordinated effort is part of the 🇪🇺 Voluntary Solidarity Mechanism.

‼️105 asylum seekers departed from 🇨🇾 today & arrived safely in 🇩🇪 under the #EU Voluntary #Solidarity Mechanism. More than 1000 people, incl. families, have now been relocated from 🇨🇾 to 7 European countries.
