I was there in 2003 while it was still under construction and it has incredible scale. It was open to the public to walk through, admire, and offer prayers.

The famous Christmas truce of 1914 is one of the most uplifting, sacred stories in recent history.

At several points along the Western front of WW1, a series of frontline ceasefires sprung up on Christmas Day after months of gruesome conflict - a short peace in a terrible war.

On we remember all those who served & sacrificed like Capt. Lance Sijan.

After being shot down, Sijan survived 6 weeks in the jungle before being captured. As a POW, he resisted interrogation & upheld the Code of Conduct before succumbing to injuries.
