Off to Canberra tomorrow for the Crisis talks on missing and murdered women. I'm thinking about Mum & reconnecting with the intent of my advocacy. I haven't been writing as regularly as I would like to, but I'm hoping to get my thoughts down & share in a few days.

Amani Haydar Professor Nareen Young I started reporting on FV that year. It was awful to observe - truly traumatic for refuge workers and managers. It was an effort to defang and defeminise the sector. And historically, a reversal back to pre-Elsie days when the big church groups ran the shelters.

Professor Nareen Young Yep. Every experienced frontline worker I've ever met talks about how that dessimated the sector, caused the loss of skills and expertise, and created a permanent sense of insecurity for specialist dv services.
