01.11.21 - President Salva Kiir received and held a meeting, with Mabior Garang de Mabior, son of fallen hero Dr. John Garang de Mabior and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Kiir for the call to come back home.

On Thurs afternoon the VP arrived at JIA following a successful mission to the U.S.

During the mission the V.P. addressed the 76th Session of the U.N. General Assembly, engaged with the S.S. diaspora and held bilateral meetings with heads of state, missions and government.

The VP met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres where she reaffirmed the commitment to bring lasting peace to the people of S. Sudan.

They also discussed the importance of EAC integration in expanding trade, investment and employment opportunities in the region

The Vice President will be delivering her remarks at the 76th Session of the UN General Assemble #UNGA , today at Approx. 12.00pm (ET) 6:00pm (Juba).

The Vice President met with Tz Pres. Samia Suluhu Hassan. The two leaders were happy to create a sisterly connection at a global stage and expressed readiness to speak with one voice before the international community.

Ahead of H.E.'s speech at the UN General Assembly #UNGA76 in New York, the Vice President has been holding a number of sideline meetings with heads of state and delegation, creating and strengthening bilateral ties.

Honored to meet with South Sudan 🇸🇸 VP Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior during #UNGA . We discussed the importance of progress on the Peace Agreement, and I stressed the need for political inclusivity and protection of humanitarian workers.

In a meeting with the Regional Vice President for Africa of the World Bank Group (Hafez Ghanem), the VP spoke about the improving economic reforms, the need to clear arrears and the importance of financial assistance and literacy programs for youth and women in South Sudan.

Last week the VP had positive engagements with the Executive Director of the IMF Africa Group 1 - AfG1 (Ms. Ita Mary Mannathoko) where she expressed her gratitude for the Economic interventions made by the institution in South Sudan.

H.E. the Vice President had a promising first meeting with the U.S. Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Amb Jeffery Feldman.

The discussion centered around the progress of the Agreement, the need for youth/ women engagement & the importance of peace & stability in the region.
