Great to join this morning’s roundtable with The Climate APPG.

We discussed the government's progress since agreeing to transition away from fossil fuels at COP28, as well as priorities for COP29.

The agreements made at COP28 were groundbreaking; it is vital we see them through.

The Offshore Petroleum Licensing Bill fails on all counts

❌it won't deliver energy security
❌it won't cut household bills
❌it undermines UK climate targets
❌it ignores an accelerating climate crisis

Ahead of tonight's vote, I've joined The Climate APPG MPs in calling on the Energy Secretary to scrap the Bill.
