Pinguicula grandiflora (Large Flowered Butterwort), Pedicularis sylvatica (Common Lousewort), Salix repens (Creeping Willow), and Hyacinthoides non-scripta (Common Bluebell) for #WildflowerHour . Not a #HedgerowChallenge , but still lovely species!

Any reliable hints and tips on the identification of Crepis spp rosettes? Or do I simply have to wait for it to flower and fruit for best results (until I can see if the achenes have a beak etc), provided it doesn't get weeded out! From leaf description, C. vesicaria. Hyacinthoides x massartiana, the hybrid Bluebell, beside its parent, the non-native Hyacinthoides hispanica (Spanish Bluebell) at an overgrown flower bed today. Intermediate in character, e.g. the hanging nature of H. non-scripta. BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland
Two of our early flowering grasses - sweet vernal grass & meadow foxtail. The former in a semi-improved grassland with common sorrel, pignut, cuckoo flower etc - a good target site for lowland meadow restoration #grassland #habitatrestoration
