This is an issue that should be addressed and changed as soon as possible!

The House of Lords had the opportunity to support survivors by supporting OpenJusticeForAll 's campaign and reducing transcript costs.

Unfortunately, they have chosen not to- a disservice to victims and

OpenJusticeForAll Dr Charlotte Proudman is spot on. Accessing information about ourselves is a fundamental right.

It's as ludicrous as my subject access request for my 'expert witness reports' on alleged sexsomnia, which were redacted excessively!

This little guy has been my rock through thick & thin, he kept me going when all I wanted to do was give up. I still struggle with PTSD, but with him by my side I feel at ease. He is the purest form of ❤️. Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend clearly didn't have a dog.

Charlotte puts it very eloquently in this interview. It’s a human right for us to know what was said about us. We want to heal and move on.

We deserve to heal.

Thank you Victims’ Commissioner London SalBrinton and everyone who supported. We get our heads together. And go again.

To hear the government say that they are unwilling to provide victims transcripts FOC is not a surprise. But it’s incredibly disappointing. They don’t understand the trauma and stress of a trial and the continued lack of transparency and control. #OpenJusticeForAll

It took SalBrinton and myself over a decade of continued campaigning for a #VictimsLaw , and we are nearly there. We won’t give up on OpenJusticeForAll

Yet again, the GOVT has missed an opportunity to put things right. The minister admits that access to information is a basic right, yet they deny it to us. Victims don't have time to wait for a 1 year pilot. Every minute counts. OpenJusticeForAll

Whatever happens in the Lords today we are so incredibly grateful to SalBrinton for her unending support of #OpenJusticeForAll 🧡 She won't stop fighting for Victims, and neither will we.

We hope Ministry of Justice take heed of her words.

This letter to Alex Chalk KC MP asks that Ministry of Justice also stand with victims and begin to truly create #OpenJusticeForAll

2/ Justice should not have a price tag, but despite continual promises from the government to take action on this issue, they have failed to do so.

This amendment is therefore a chance to show we are serious about protecting victims, whilst delivering real change.

We urge peers from The Labour Party and Conservatives to come together, and agree on a way forward that allows victims to try and heal from their trauma.

Today we ask Shabana Mahmood MP and The Labour Party to deliver on #OpenJustice as called on by the Lammy report years ago.

Today's amendment is a small step towards #OpenJustice ForAll, a long overdue showcase of true solidarity with victims Ministry of Justice
