Victims face bills of thousands of pounds - money which goes into the pockets of private companies - to access court transcripts. SalBrinton is right that we need in this . We can't keep allowing victims to be revictimised through the court 🧵

Find it very concerning that Govt think victims have ⬇️. I urge them to truly listen to victims and families, who were failed at every step. must enable court transcripts to be free and accessible so victims can recover ForAll

Disappointing the Minister is misinformed about the current state of our courts and transcripts. Going to court to listen to a recording is not on offer, wholly impractical and usually denied, as in David Challen's case. This isn't a 'right' for victims 🧵

Today we ask Shabana Mahmood MP and The Labour Party to deliver on as called on by the Lammy report years ago.

Today's amendment is a small step towards ForAll, a long overdue showcase of true solidarity with victims Ministry of Justice

Jo Maugham will you support us in getting justice? We want access to court transcripts for victims of sexual and domestic abuse. We deserve to know what was said about us in court. Justice should be accessible and open to all.
