Pocilloporid stock-recruitment relationships exist at a small scale, and seem to be impacted by thermal stress. Thanks Peter Mumby for the exciting collab...stay tuned for more cool research from this reef tract! 🪸

Happy to be sharing some findings at #BES2023 about an emergent increase in coral heat tolerance in Palau.
But this raises many new questions - what's the role of species turnover, acclimatisation, adaptation, symbionts?

Happy Anniversary to the Palau National Marine Sanctuary (PNMS)! @picrcpalau and our #BlueParks team are thrilled to announce the PNMS as a Blue Spark, making progress toward achieving the #BlueParks standard for excellence in biodiversity conservation. tinyurl.com/Blue-Spark
Two new holiday programs at Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC). The Ocean Explorers Program—a week long course for students in Grades 6 and 7, and Educators in Science—a three-day, professional development workshop for teachers in Palau. They were both a lot of fun and we've had positive feedback!
We are very excited and grateful to be a CORDAP awardee with Peter Mumby Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) IMBIBE Lab. Our project, CORALADAPT will support implementation of restoration interventions that aim to enhance adaptation.
