At the United Nations Forum on #Forests , Portugal showcased its experience in using forest-based solutions to address the triple planetary crise and called for the adoption of the Landscape Fire Governance Framework presented at the 8th International Wildland Fire Conference held in Porto.

Ambassador Zacarias 🇵🇹 joined informal dialogue with #AfricanGroupUN & 🇪🇺EU at UN-NY MS on #SOTF . On #FfD , she suggested:
➡️ Identifying issues of common interest;
➡️ Promoting dialogue where views diverge;
➡️ Supporting innovative solutions (e.g. SDR, debt swaps, go beyond GDP & MVI).

Today, the African Union Mission to the UN hosted an informal dialogue b/w the #AfricanGroupUN & European Union member states. Discussions focused on various priorities leading to the #SummitoftheFuture , incl: the New Agenda for #Peace , #GlobalGovernance , #FfD , & #Agenda2030 / #Agenda2063 .

Today in the General Assembly, Portugal 🇵🇹 expressed concern with yet another #veto in the Security Council.

The Council should be able to reaffirm the commitment to not place any weapons of mass destruction in Outer Space.
