The 2023 Hen Harrier survey results are out, and it’s a mixed picture in England.

With 653 territorial pairs found in UK in 2023, there’s been a 20% increase from the 545 pairs recorded in the last survey in 2016.

4 lapwing chicks, the 1st of 2024 spotted today on the breeding bird survey the earliest yet for Elmley Despite their mother wanting to brood them as the sky clouded over & temperature drop these tiny balls of fluff were keen to be of foraging.
