The Metrolinx GO Expansion weekly newsletters are stale with no meaningful updates. This is what is happening in Save Small's Creek . Culvert replacement underway but no timelines or further conversations on restoration. Forward thinking would mean having a solid plan in place!

The access road on the south side of Save Small's Creek that Metrolinx GO Expansion claims in this week’s newsletter “is being” constructed has been there for 18 months. It is used for construction east and west of the ravine. That was why the tree canopy had to be destroyed!

With signs of spring in Save Small's Creek I was happy to be able to tell a young fan that Metrolinx GO Expansion has committed to restoring the connectivity in the ravine with a boardwalk. His tears at seeing the trees come down was replaced with a big smile. #restoration

There are signs of spring in Save Small's Creek but what stands out are the stumps from the tree canopy destroyed by Metrolinx in the name of progress. 13 months since the trees were felled, further delaying the replanting and restoring of the space! There were and are better ways!
