In this paper led by my grad student Przemek in Gothenburg, we describe p-tau212 as a new blood biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease 🩸.
- Plasma p-tau212 had same accuracies as p-tau217.
- P-tau212 antibody stained tangle structures in postmortem brains.

The clinical utility of Alzheimer disease blood tests is strongly related to their accuracy. Lower accuracy blood tests will simply not be helpful.
