#ISTStendon Do you think shockwave immediately reduces pain on loading in tendinopathy? PeterMalliaras ISTS_2023 SWT did NOT reduce movement evoked pain in ppl with Achilles tendinopathy at Wk 2 or 3 of Rx. Pain relief did occur after Rx in wk 1 but was no more than placebo.

We investigated the effectiveness of adding brief pain science or ergonomics messages to guideline advice for acute back pain

▫️Ergonomics messages led to WORSE reassurance
