Today, UN Mongolia presented its Annual Results Report 2023 to its stakeholders representing @zasag_mnm, CSOs, academia, and the private sector.

Tapan Mishra was in Sukhbaatar province to assess the aftermaths of the dzuds and to meet the affected herders. The Humanitarian Country Team under leadership of UN Resident Coordinator has been facilitating humanitarian assistance to the herders hit hardest since December 2023.

#SPT : The UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture will visit #Mongolia 🇲🇳 from 5 to 16 May 2024 to assess the country’s implementation of its recommendations against torture & ill-treatment made after the previous visit in 2017.

Dr Piukala and Minister of Health H.E. Mr Chinzorig Sodnom Эрүүл мэндийн яам /Ministry of Health/ signed the #Mongolia -WHO Country Cooperation Strategy 2024-2028, marking a new chapter to tackle challenges, sustain health gains, and ensure future resilience in the country 🇲🇳.

Dr Piukala visited #Mongolia ’s National Center for Maternal, Newborn and Women’s Health, expressing heartfelt gratitude to healthcare workers for their unwavering dedication to enhancing health nationwide.

During his visit to #Mongolia 🇲🇳, Dr Piukala toured the vaccines storage warehouse at the National Center for Communicable Diseases, stressing the importance of solidarity and commitment in securing the Region against future health threats.

Dr Piukala met with Ms Anujin Purev-Ochir, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Social Policy at the State Great Hural of #Mongolia 🇲🇳, to discuss collective efforts for a tobacco-free future for children and a healthier Region. #NoTobacco
