Lovely morning with a dusting of fresh snow in the #Cairngorms #NationalPark .

Lovely to come across this black adder on Tuesday. You can see how it has flattened its body to get more warmth from the sun. Melanistic adders like this are fairly common at Mar Lodge - do let us know if you see one in the estate (but don't get too close!)

Dog waste can be a hazard for wildlife and people. Bagging and binning, or taking it home, helps to keep all of us and animals safe.
