What happened to hourly pay over the past 50+ years? That’s the topic of my latest paper.
One answer (from American Compass) is this— it rose by 1% over the 50 years from 1972 to 2022.
That’s not right—though it’s only off by a factor of about 30, so…

Andrew G. Biggs Ahem. Some percentage of ‘Experts’ warning about inadequate savings in retirement are those who make a living by organising and directing retirement savings. They have a vested interest in fear-mongering. The more you save, the more they earn.
