Just finished Cuddy by Benjamin Myers This, final, section of the book is one of the most affecting things I’ve ever read. The sense of something ending, something maybe starting - both fuelled by love. Very moved 🥲

All amazing places but the North West Highlands has my heart ❤️

Shouldn’t really need saying but apparently needs to be restated, in Scotland, especially today. I spent years trying to come out, back in the day, and am now told by orgs like Stonewall that I am wrong and a bad person! 🥜

It’s not ‘anyone with ovaries’, it’s ‘women’ who need to be addressed here!
Health education messages need to be simple, clear and unambiguous or they don’t get through to all those who need to receive them. #women #NHS

I’m honoured to be invited to speak again with people in Ullapool. I’m still blown away that so many local people and visitors have enjoyed my first novel The Faultline and I hope that people will enjoy the new one, Unconformity, too. 😊

For those wanting a reality check on the economy, its recent history & prospects, this is excellent. It’s not an upbeat podcast but, for me, feels really essential right now. The Government & Opposition seem to treat us as incapable of dealing with inconvenient truths like this!
