It’s about:
- the sheer size of the response, which was massively disproportionate given the overwhelmingly (albeit not exclusively!) peaceful nature of the protest;
- the decision to eject journalists right when the public’s need for information was most acute;
- the panicked…

The notion that commencements at any of these institutions are going to look remotely 'normal' after tonight is utterly deranged. This of course is exactly what every admin dreads: an uncontrolled spectacle in full view of parents and donors. Now it's pretty much guaranteed.
