81. Bone Talk by Candy Gourlay

Most exciting find at Bologna, this debut picture book from the amazing Sara Stanley and Vivian Schwarz. A book about displacement, community, eternal hope told with tenderness. Sara is a new and much-needed voice in children’s books. Publishing in August.

Next up: drinking prosecco from a rooftop bar with Hartland International School Libraries overlooking the Bologna skyline. Hopefully, we'll livestream a video diary with book news from the Book Fair unless we get distracted by food.
