March 2024 was officially New Zealand's most unusually cold month in over 10 years (0.99˚C below average).

It was the coldest March since 2012, but only the 34th coldest March on record since national temperature records began in 1909.

Researchers onboard the recent Ocean Census voyage have discovered around 100 new species. 😮
