Over many years as Head of School & Dean I’ve had to explain the relevance & value of the Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities. Our disciplines are under constant attack (from within HEIs & beyond) & I’m tired of having to constantly defend our essential work

I have been fortunate enough to read an advance copy of this and it is excellent. It is a career-defining book by one of the best scholars out there and it shows how our international system needs urgent reform.
