Some quick lunar images again tonight, I’m trying to make the most of the good weather!

Particular focus on Montes Apenninus and Plato Crater. There have been some great Clair Obscur features visible over the past few nights too!

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) imaged from the middle of light-polluted Kendal last night. Processed stack of 8x25s images taken with Canon 700D DSLR/300mm lens/iOptron tracker. What will this comet do in October? We'll have to wait and see. Cross those fingers...!

Short burst of from North captured on our auroracam (a modifed GMN meteor camera) on 16th April. Activity picked up just as a band of cloud moved over, but it soon cleared and we got a nice look at the next brief burst.

The star T Coronae Borealis (T CrB) on 13 April 2024. It is around magnitude 10 in this shot but it is also a recurrent nova. When it erupts it could reach magnitude 2 and could be naked eye visible. This is predicted to happen sometime this year.

Hoag's Object damianpeach.com/deepsky23/hoag… One of the most perfect ring galaxies in the sky. This strange galaxy is over 600 million l.y. away. The field is littered with faint background galaxies billions of l.y. away. 100cm & 43cm scopes. LRGB. 10 & 13hrs combined.

May's BBC Sky at Night Magazine just dropped through my letterbox. I see that M13 is the subject of the sky guide challenge - here's my capture of it from the weekend with the 'propeller' feature highlighted. Quite obvious once you realise it's there.
