And I humbly admit you’re right about a design competition not fixing it. We as a city are building massive impressive buildings across the city … surely someone can re-design the bridge, stairs and subways and crucially help the homeless people that shelter there.

I have felt the wobble - don’t mind that. It’s just outdated. I also feel for the poor folk you sometimes see sleeping there. Birmingham can do better for our homeless people in 2024 surely?

Actually that’s the bit I like - looking down as cars zoom (drive responsibly ) by. I suppose it’s just that the bridge and the steps and subway parts are just grubby and out dated.

I have always hated that bridge.
