Emirati human rights activist #AhmedMansoor continues to be detained by the #UAE , facing the very same abuses he was speaking out against.

Over the past six years, UN human rights experts have documented how the #UAE has held #AhmedMansoor in solitary confinement without a bed or mattress in his cell. These measures violate the prohibition against torture and other cruel treatment.

#AhmedMansoor has faced repeated intimidation, harassment, and death threats from the #UAE authorities and their supporters, and he was the victim of a sophisticated spyware attack by the Emirati government.

#AhmedMansoor ’s case is emblematic of the #UAE ’s systematic repression of #humanrights . Mansoor has been arbitrarily imprisoned in isolation since his arrest in March 2017.

The host of this year's global #climate talks, the #UAE has imprisoned a brave human rights advocate in solitary confinement for years. #AhmedMansoor is a prisoner of conscience. The UAE must #FreeAhmed immediately.
