At general debate of #CSocD62 , 🇵🇹 Min of Labour underlined that equal opportunities & fighting inequalities are critical 
conditions for social cohesion, trust & peace. She underlined national #ChildGuarantee & #DecentWork agenda as actions to improve real lives for real people.

V. interesting discussions on #skills , #employment , #digitaleconomy , #socialdialogue , #mentalhealth & the #childguarantee these past 2 days while accompanying Commissioner Nicolas SCHMIT in 🇲🇹 It was refreshing to see how much the 🇪🇺 & its funds have changed people’s lives!

At the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU 2024 conference on the #ChildGuarantee , we call on #EU policy makers to ensure #families have access to social services and mental health support to prevent family breakdown.

Supporting families is a prerequisite to end #child poverty and social exclusion.
